Both of my children have attended My First Skool @ Blk 166 Punggol Central, and I am very thankful for the experience. The younger one is currently in K2 and looks forward to school every day. She truly enjoys her time with her teachers and friends.

When they first joined—at 20 and 24 months old—they were both quite shy and sensitive. Naturally, I was worried about how they would adjust. But thanks to the attentive care from the teachers, they both settled down much faster than I had expected.

Every morning during check-in, the teachers greet my younger one warmly, which helps start the day on a positive note. Not only the teachers, but all the staff—including the cleaning auntie and cooking auntie—are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their warm smiles and greetings make the school feel like one big family.

Curriculum
K2’s curriculum is thoughtfully designed, covering various areas including English, Chinese, numeracy, literacy, music and movement, outdoor, etc. It achieves a great balance between academic learning and social-emotional development.

Teachers and Leadership
The K2 teachers—both English (Teacher MItz) and Chinese(Jiaqi Laoshi )—are highly professional, nurturing, and responsible. The principal ( Ms Mazie) is approachable and responsive, handling any concerns promptly and effectively.

Communication between the school and parents is smooth. Teachers regularly update me on my child’s progress, behavior, and classroom experiences via my first skool APP and small chats during drop-off and pick-up . I always feel at peace knowing that my child is in good hands.

Meaningful Learning Beyond the Classroom
• Field Trips: The school organizes enriching excursions that extend learning into real life. For example, this year, K2 children learned about construction vehicles during a visit to Dig-Dig Land, and watched The Emperor’s New Clothes at the Singapore Repertory Theatre to experience stage performance.
• Festival Celebrations: Cultural events like CNY, Hari Raya, Vesak Day, and Christmas are celebrated with fun and engaging activities that teach children to appreciate different traditions and promote racial harmony.
• IGP (Intergenerational Programme): This is by far my favorite program. Children visit elderly care homes to sing, dance, and do crafts with the seniors. These heartwarming interactions build empathy and teach kids to value and respect the older generation. It’s a truly meaningful initiative.
• The school also partners with third-party providers and community organizations to offer enrichment programs, arts and sports sessions that support children’s holistic development.

Parent Engagements
• Parent-Teacher Conferences are held twice a year to review each child’s development.
• Workshops on topics like screen-time management and parenting strategies help us to better support our children’s learning at home.
• STEP-UP Program: Parents are invited to join classroom activities such as storytelling, art, and cooking—great opportunities to bond with the children and understand their learning environment.

Safety and Hygiene
The school maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety. In the event of a contagious illness, deep sterilization is carried out promptly. Check-in and check-out are strictly managed and limited to authorized caregivers, ensuring that every child is well protected in a secure environment.

My First Skool @ Blk 166 Punggol Central has given both of my children a great start. The caring staff, well-rounded curriculum, and engaging programs have left a lasting, positive impact on our children and our family. Highly recommended!
