Adopting a Relationships-based Approach to Early Years Education
Our Approach
Learning through Play and Exploration
Relationships: the heart of our curriculum
With over 40 years of expertise in child development, My First Skool ensures that our curriculum stays current with the latest developments in early childhood to equip children at that stage in their development with the right skills and mindset to thrive in this ever-changing world.
We recognise that children are unique individuals. They explore their environment, form opinions, and want to be heard. As such, we centre our curriculum around relationships, forging close bonds, and building genuine connections with the children and parents.
Children who receive encouragement and love are more eager to learn and play; and are empowered with the social competency skills needed to navigate different situations.

Curious, Thoughtful, and Active Lifelong Learners

At My First Skool, we do not just focus on teaching academic subjects to our children. We want to impart a love for learning, which is why the acquisition of skills and knowledge is something we strive to make more effective and interesting - through curriculum development, partnerships with leading agencies, or innovative teaching methods.
A holistic learning experience with PETAL©
At My First Skool, we empower our children to learn through a pedagogical approach called PETAL© – Playing, Exploring, Thinking, and Applying Learning. This approach provides facilitated play experiences that encourage active exploration, critical thinking and making meaningful discoveries.
Helping your child to explore, adapt, and thrive.

A preschool model for early learners

Designed for children aged between two months and 4 years, the Early Years Centre (EYC) programme guarantees a Kindergarten 1 placement for a five-year-old child in a nearby partnered MOE kindergarten. My First Skool currently has three EYCs in Punggol.
