We know that there’s no place better than home. To ensure a nurturing setting that is conducive to every child’s growth and well-being, we have a special team to look into every aspect of our pre-school design to make your child feel at home, so you can enjoy peace of mind.
We design all our pre-schools based on eight basic principles:
-
Safety & Health
All equipment, materials and furniture in our pre-schools are carefully designed and purchased to ensure children’s safety.
-
Age appropriateness
Children are developmentally different in size and ability. Our pre-school spaces and equipment are designed and purchased to suit each developmental stage of our children and meet the needs of different children, so that they will enjoy spending time in their classroom.
-
Comfort & Softness
A clean and uncluttered environment, with soft elements such as cloth drapes and picture frames, gives children a sense of space, calmness and security to work and play in.
-
Competence & Autonomy
The environment is designed to build and display our children’s competence and autonomy. Pathways are designed to provide smooth movement from one area to another, while specific walls showcase their artworks.
-
Order & Consistency
Consistency in design, such as standard shelves and furniture and using the same flooring colour, allows our children to better focus on the materials they are working on.
-
Aesthetics
Combining function and aesthetics, there is always room for sunlight, good ventilation potted plants, little pets, paintings, 3D sculptures and artworks.
-
Privacy & Social Space
Cosy nooks and corners give our children alone time when needed. They can also use these areas to rest or read a book.
-
Adult Dimension
There are work spaces within classrooms for teachers to work and monitor the children during nap time. There is also a resource room for meetings, discussions, relaxation and bonding.
