My name is Ms. Celine Lau. I am entering my 23rd year in Early Childhood Education and this will be my eighth year working at My First Skool. I spent eight years as a teacher, before moving into a leadership position for fifteen years. I began my educational career as an assistant teacher. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (HONS) in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wales.

My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique and learns in a different way. I believe in hands-on experiences and learning through play. I believe that a good quality childcare are the results of great educators; so my main objective is to ensure that every child is receiving quality care and learning experience from every educator at My First Skool at Jurong Westgate Level 5. To achieve this, I practice to provide educators with feedback on their teaching and learning practices regularly and support their professional development, collaborate with our parents in making the children’s early years a rich and fulfilling experience.

My goal as a Principal is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a learning environment that is happy, safe and healthy for the young children. Working alongside the educators, parents and community members, I strive to provide the best learning experience for each child at our centre by promoting a positive school culture and safe learning environment, each day.
