I would first like to share how thankful I am to have my children enrolled into this school. From the first visit to the school, we felt welcomed. Miss Gillian (Principal) truly sets the tone for her team, the children and even us as parents. I often see her and her team of staff around, walking the ground, ready to assist in any situation. It shows how a great team work together to create a truly nurturing and supportive environment.

And this shines through in every aspect of the school.

The teachers too are wonderful. I would like to take this chance to show my heartful appreciation to my children's teachers -

Teacher Annie (PG): From the moment we met, I am blown away by her infectious energy. Her passion in teaching, genuine care and love for her students is clear. She even took time to chat with me and get to know my child before we officially started school. She creates a fun and engaging learning environment for her class. Even the take-home activities were also impressively done! My child looks forward to seeing her in school.

Feng Laoshi (PG): She is a warm and caring teacher. Her calm disposition provides comfort and support for my child. She uses fun and interactive ways to introduce the Chinese language to her students. My child has started to speak more (and better) Chinese too. Feng Laoshi also regularly provides us with feedback on my child's day in school/performance. This greatly assures us and keep us updated.

Teacher Charmaine (K1): We like the Inquiry Projects that she organises each term. It really creates a rich and varied learning experience for the class. My child will excitedly gather the required materials and go through the guiding questions. Her teachings encourage the children to gain curiosity and understanding to the topics through a fun and exploratory manner.

Xu Laoshi (K1): As my child was a transfer student, Xu Laoshi made the effort to welcome her to the class. She is also attentive to notice my child's emotions and would be there to comfort/assure her. Since then, my child warmed up to her quickly. Xu Laoshi is well-versed in her area of expertise and is still seeking to improve herself through higher education and research. Her impressive abilities has shown through in her teachings. My child's command in the language has greatly improved. Under Xu Laoshi's encouragement, she has also shown initiative in reading/writing at home.

All in all, I am grateful to all the teachers and the entire MFS staff here at 51 Fernvale. My children are thriving and we as parents are assured that they are in good hands.

We absolutely love this school and the teachers. We have not seen our kids this eager to go to school every day.

Teacher Kong Mei is extremely compassionate and amazingly patient. She has been caring for our boy and genuinely concerned about his well being. Over the months we have seen our boy developing amazing social abilities.

The school compound is great and has alot of spaces for the kids to explore! Most importantly it’s not air conditioned and I think the good air ventilation helps to lower down the virus from spreading.
All the teachers are very caring and passionate about early childhood education, especially the PG teachers- Teacher Annie and Feng Laoshi! My girl has learn so many new skills, songs and vocab ever since she attended the school and she’s always looking forward to school!
We always see the principal Ms Wei Mei during school check in making sure that everything is in order and greeting all the kids. All the kids including my girl knew her name and love her! This shows that Ms Wei Mei is always on the ground understands everything that’s happening.

As I mentioned, Teacher Zel has been with him from day one, making the transition from Playgroup to N1 such a smooth and reassuring experience. Wang Laoshi is my son’s new chinese teacher. She is amazing —thanks to her, my son’s Chinese has improved so much as we don’t speak chinese at home.

My son at N1 since playgroup we are very thankful that he had a great and warm class teachers from playgroup till date. My son is attending this kindergarten and we are really happy with it. The teachers are extremely responsible, patient, and caring. They are genuinely warm-hearted people who create a loving and supportive atmosphere for the children. My son has learned so much here and goes to school every day with joy. Not only do his own teachers care for him, but even teachers from other classes take the time to chat with him, which makes him feel very welcome.

The kindergarten itself is spacious with its own campus and a wide range of facilities. The children can enjoy plenty of outdoor activities every day without even leaving the school grounds, which gives me great peace of mind.

Teacher Izora and He Laoshu from Playgroup are the most compassionate teachers my son could ever get. Their dedication and warm environment they create for the young ones are truly passionate. Their nuturing approach has inculcated great values in my son such as confidence, sense of belonging, independence, compassion and most importantly happiness. Thank you for your commitment and care for our children. (PS: He does not want to come bk home and enjoys his time at school - good problem :) ) He also started articulating his languages well, both English and Mandarin.

Aasiriyai Uma, Teacher Marie and Teacher Priyah have been travelling together with my daughter's educational journey for the past 3 and have been such a positive influence in her life. Their emphasis on good values, fun, and creating a positive environment truly stand out. We feel very fortunate to have you as part of my daughter's educational journey. Thank you all for your grace and kindness towards our children so that we can have a peace of mind at work. They offer tamil in this school which is a plus for transition for (tamil learning kids). My daughter's tamil has improved tremendously all thanks to teacher Uma.

My children are in absolute safe hands. I highly recommend this school to parents.

When my son first joined the playgroup on 1 July, I was a little nervous as I wasn’t sure how he would adjust. But from the very first day, the teachers and staff welcomed him with such warmth and patience that my worries quickly faded.

I couldn’t be more grateful to Teacher Annie and Feng Laoshi. They have been so caring and patient, helping him settle in and feel safe. Within weeks, he went from feeling insecure to walking into class with a smile. They update me almost daily about his progress, and in such a short time, he has learned to drink from a cup and eat more confidently on his own.

Teacher Annie has such a gift for connecting with children. The way she changes her tone, expression and energy when telling stories captures the kids’ attention so well. I can see how much my son enjoys her storytelling time. Meanwhile, Feng Laoshi’s engaging teaching has sparked his interest in Mandarin, and now he has started to use short sentences instead of just phrases.

During Dec 2024, my son still didn’t know how to walk by himself, he also didn’t know how to drink using water bottle yet. We had our doubts and worries because we are afraid he couldn’t adapt to school curriculum.

When school started in Jan 2025, he managed to achieved this milestones under the superb guidance of 何老师and Teacher Izora! Not only that, within a span of 6 months we could see a SIGNIFICANT change in our son, he became a “little adult” despite only at the age of of 1+ to 2! He wanted to learn to be independent himself, he is also able to speak simple vocabulary, able to understand instructions. This change was so great and it couldn’t be possible without the love and care from 何老师, Teacher Izora and the staffs in 51 fernvale link my first skool. The environment is clean and big, curriculum is wonderful and above it all, superb loving teachers and staffs ❤️

Our baby in Infant Joy 1 has been well cared for at MFS @ 51 Fernvale Link since he was 4 months old. The centre has truly been a partner while we’re at work, and we’re so grateful for the peace of mind they give us every day.

Kong Laoshi, his main teacher, is incredibly patient, attentive, and dedicated. She has been so supportive of his growth, and his face lights up every time he sees her. As we all know, babies are the truest reflection of how they feel.

We’re also very thankful to the rest of the Joy 1 teachers for their consistent love, care, and support. It means the world to us knowing he is in such good hands.

Kudos to MyFirstSkool Team!❤️ Although my son is only with them around six months, but I’ve already decided to write this review to show my appreciation for the hardworking teachers—especially Teacher Annie Liza Ligon Lim and Teacher Feng Bing. They understand my child’s situation, and I truly feel that he has been well taken care during this period.
1. Teacher Annie noticed that my child didn’t enjoy eating, so she came out some strategies to help my son, and now my son is able to eat in school, as well as at home too. I’m so grateful!!
2. Teacher Annie also has a great way of using different tones of voice to capture the children’s attention. My son really enjoys listening to her stories.
4. My child, who previously didn’t speak Mandarin at all last time, and now he has started slowly speak mandarin at home, I super surprise!!! Sometimes he will say 这里，那里，我要，飞机 etc. One day, he suddenly started singing 拔萝卜at home, I really quite shock for this, and very happy he got such improvement. Thank you Feng Lao Shi!!!

At the moment, I feel very confident leaving my child to them, and I can go to work with peace of mind.

I can’t recommend this school enough. My two kids are in this centre and from day 1, the teachers and principal have been nothing but assuring and patient towards my kids and us. I would like to give a shoutout to three wonderful and amazing teachers that my children have been so blessed to have : Lin Lao Shi, Teacher Grazzes & Teacher Annie. The growth I’ve seen in my children’s speech and overall development has been heartwarming. I am especially amazed by how well they sing both Chinese and English songs at home. They have also learned to share and be thoughtful to others, which is such an important skill at this age. Most importantly, my kids look forward to school everyday. Thank you for everything you’ve done to make my kids’ school life so enjoyable and creating a safe space for them. The dedication and passion for nurturing each child’s learning are evident, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the positive impact they’ve had on my children’s early education. I have 2 girls , the elder one graduated 3 years ago and MFS at Fernvale Link helped to set her great interest in learning, the teachers (Jiang Lao Shi, Teacher Tiffany and a few more) whom had taught her had been very patience. She had shown these good traits in her primary school journey.

Now my younger girl had been in MFS at Fernvale Link coming to 2 years and she is showing a lot of love towards others, keeping her on track with the milestones, performing with confidence. Teacher Sandra and Wang Lao Shi had certainly guide the kids very well. Other teachers like Teacher Fa, Teacher Fahana, Teacher Jomian had also been very fun loving with the kids.

Most important, the principal Mrs Gillian and deputy principals are the ones who helped to shape the good infrastructure of the teachers.
I had seen other preschools, and MFS at Fernvale Link is the one where I see principals mingling with the kids, morning with story telling and sing along.

I have a adopted daughter, Daphne who is a foreigner who has enrolled into N1 of My First Skool, 51 Fernvale Link. It’s a very nice school compound with lovely garden and mud kitchen. School leaders always around during morning check up, to greet students and parents, to help with teachers and to manage traffic. My son has been attending My First Skool at 51 Fernvale Link since playgroup, and he has just graduated from K2 this year. Over the past five years, he has truly enjoyed the best moments of his childhood there. I genuinely believe the school’s environment, programs, and activities have played a big role in shaping his early years — something I’ve been fortunate to witness personally through the many events I’ve attended.

My wife and I are deeply grateful to the former principal, Mdm Gillian Yeo, for her unwavering support and guidance, especially during the times when our son needed extra help at different stages of his development. She was truly a lifesaver to our family.

It’s not always easy for him, but knowing he has teachers who believe in him and also will feel all happy noticing his small progress means the world to us.

I really appreciate Teacher Charmaine & Wang Laoshi for their hard work, guidance and care towards my child. Their kindness and encouragement have made learning such a joyful experience for my child. They always create a positive learning environment and keep communication open with parents. My child has grown so much in confidence and skills.

My daughter is at Playgroup. Despite the large number of children, the teachers are very patient and treat each one with care. They always keep the parents informed of any situation that arises. The class teacher He Laoshi and Teacher Zel are amazing people, looking after our child and others with lots of love. The other class teachers are also helpful. Principal Gillian can always be seen around campus.

My child has been in this school since she was 22 months old and this was her first time encounter with teachers and friends. It has been a pleasant experience for both parties, we (parents of Dave Tan) and Dave himself, in this centre for the past few years

We would like to thank all of the nursery 1 teachers, especially Teacher Jed and Liang 老师 for their extraordinary care and dedication to my child’s development.

In just a year, Dave has blossomed from a shy, timid boy into one who is courageous, polite, and well-mannered. We are particularly proud of how he has recently picked up polite phrases like "May I…" and developed such good habits since starting his school at MyFirstSkool @ 51 Fernvale Link. These habits, like putting his shoes away, keeping his toys (there is a particular song he always sing to!), returning his milk bottle, and patiently waiting when asked, are a testament to the excellent environment they created for him.

What stands out even more is their prompt communication with us as parents. They never hesitate to update us on any findings at school, whether big or small, which truly shows their commitment to Dave’s well-being. This open communication has been incredibly reassuring and allows us to feel fully involved in his learning journey.

The mutual respect and love between Dave and his teachers are evident, not just in his growth, but in his bright smiles every morning. It took us by surprise when, after just a few weeks of adjusting, he would wave goodbye and happily walk into the center without any tears. This speaks volumes about the love and care he receives, making him feel safe and secure in your space and is definitely heartening to see how much he enjoys school because of their dedication and care.

As first-time parents, these signs truly reassure us and allow us to work with peace of mind, knowing he is well taken care of. I couldn't be happier with the level of care my baby has received! From the moment we walked in, the staff has been warm, attentive, and incredibly nurturing. They go above and beyond to ensure that each child feels safe, loved, and engaged. Special shoutout to Kong Laoshi and the team. I could feel the genuine care and love from them. They would even call me constantly to check on her when my girl was sick at home.

Very Thankful to be able to have my 3YO and 9mths old enrolled in MFS 51 Fernvale Link. My 3YO started when he was in infant care. Being a first time mum then, I wanted the best for my boy, a place where I can safely put him in and have a piece of mind while I embark on a new career. He grew up so well and when my number 2 came, I know there's no other places but here for her when she turn 6 months old.

I really like it here, no birthday celebrations in school means my kids has a lesser chance of exposure to cartoon characters (paw petrol, frozen,etc). It saves me alot of band wave, I don't have to worry about a school party, gifts or even cake, etc.

Teachers are responsive to emails and gave feedback on my kids very timely. The environment it's really where I would love to be when I was a kid. Thankful for a place like that for my kids to have enough outdoor exposure at the same time, indoor curriculum.

This huge campus housing infants to K2, the princopal and teachersknow every student, ain't that amazing.

First off, major kudos to the principal, Ms Gillian - always there to listen and address concerns made our experience truly exceptional.

The screening teachers (teacher Faa, Priya & Cheng) are always so patient and smiley, even with the crying kiddos.

Our son's English and Chinese teachers (Teacher Jed & Zhou laoshi) are like gems and deserve a superhero cape - super patient, caring, and passionate about their job. Taking care of so many kids sounds like a tough gig, but they handle it like pros (I observed during 1st day orientation & field trip)! Our son was new to the school and we constantly witnessed the teachers went the extra miles to make him settle in, the dedication and thoughtfulness really touch our hearts! ✨

And a big shout-out to the new teachers (Teacher Kriz & Lili laoshi) - so kind when our little one leveled up to a new class and environment. Constantly providing updates and assurance really help make us feel confident about the changes.

Just less than a year with MFS, our son's leaps and bounds of improvement, coupled with the stories he brings home daily, speak volumes about the fantastic learning experience at My First Skool.

My daughter has been going to this school since she was around 3 months old. The ifc teachers are awesome and really care for the babies! I love how they have daily outdoor walks and how they are exposed to nature instead of always being kept in the classrooms.

She's now in PG and the same applies for the teachers too. Teachers share with us any new milestones like when she talked much more than usual and also cares for her safety and well being. She's also very happy in class and loves to read books, sing and dance to songs that she learnt in school.

All the teachers at this centre are really awesome and passionate, they all deserve a pay raise! Even though we are moving house, we are still going to send her here because I really like how dedicated all the leaders and teachers are. Thank you!!

My First Skool (51 Fernvale Link) have passionate and patience teachers. With their intentional teaching and diligent planning, I saw a great improvement in my daughter's motor skills, thinking and understanding about things around her. She is always looking forward to going to school. Well done to all the teachers especially Teacher Jean and Feng Laoshi who played such an important role in nurturing the young minds. Truly not an easy feat, but it is definitely rewarding!

A school with passionate teachers and centre leaders. My daughter enjoys going to school everyday. Being less than 2 years old, she could even share with me her teacher's names and sings song taught by them back at home. Im so surprised when I saw her dancing and singing along to music and even reading a book like 'Brown Bear' on her own. The teachers often checks on the well-being of my daughter and shares with me loads of photos of my daughter's learning in school. Both my husband and myself feels at ease ever since my daughter was enrolled into the school since she was a infant. Great school, definitely would recommend anyone looking for one :)

My son has only attended playgroup for 1.5 months but I’m very happy that I chose to give up my previous school option and switched him over before he turned 18mo. The educators here provide daily updates when we do pick ups and even through emails and on the app to help parents like us be assured that our child is settling well into school.

The educators have also been putting in a lot of effort in planning events and celebrations in school which I appreciate a lot because taking care of such huge bunch of kids is already no easy feat yet they do all the extra work with a smile all the time.

When my child fell sick his teachers check in on him through calls or emails and I am deeply appreciative of their concern for his well-being. Overall, I’m very thankful and glad I found a school I can trust to place my child in good hands.

Special shout out to Teacher Annie and Huang Lao Shi for their love for the children and passion in what they do. Teachers like them need more recognition! Not forgetting the other assistant teachers and center leaders whom I’ve interacted with, thank you for doing what you do. It’s definitely not an easy job so thank you all!

My son used to go to another pre-school and had a hard time adjusting and was crying everyday at school. After switching over to MFS at 51 Fernvale, my son’s mood totally changed! No more crying! The school has lots of caring and experienced teachers who are well trained to care for the kids.

The principal and staff are attentive and caring. Always watching out on student well-being and keeping parents posted on child progress. Great learning environment for little ones.
