  My journey with NFC began in 2011 as a Principal of My First Skool. Equipped with 23 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education (MEd) from Monash University, I now helm the MFS-CV4 campus as Executive Principal. The campus, with its capacity of 321 children from ages ranging between 2 months and 6 years, is adequately supported by my dynamic team of 53 dedicated and diligent staff, committed to upholding the highest standards of the school in the best interest of our stakeholders.

  This culminated in the recognition of being certified with SPARK (Singapore Preschool Accreditation Framework Quality Assessment) since 2016 and being the recipient of CEO Awards under Exemplary Positive Disposition in Young Children in 2018, while also continuously securing the Platinum Tier under Healthy Preschool Accreditation with Health Promotion Board.

  My greatest passion has always been working with children and in my capacity as centre leader, I pledge that any child that walks through our doors is ensured not just a holistic development, but a loving and nurturing environment, and it is of utmost importance that I use my position to execute these priorities accordingly.

  As Jack Welch once said, ‘before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is about growing others.’

• Teacher Joche was my elder daughter's teacher and now I am blessed to have her teach my second child, Ava Chng. She is warm, friendly and no matter how exhausting her day is, she always have a ready smile for her students and parents. She goes beyond the extra mile for my child. Ava often speaks positively of her and the values that Teacher Joche has imparted to her through teachable moments in class. My daughter is a slow eater and teacher Joche will be patient and make sure that she finishes her meal daily. Ava is also a painfully shy girl and I can see that through Teacher Joche's guidance, she is slowly coming out of her shell and able to present herself better. She is a dedicated and great teacher and MFS is lucky to have a passionate teacher like her.

• Chen Lao Shi of K1A is truly a great teacher. My child, Ava Chng, has ZERO foundation in Chinese Language. We do not take her to enrichment classes nor do we speak the language at home. However, after a short 8 months with Chen Lao Shi, I can see that she is more confident in conversing in the language. She even can read and write simple sentences to my surprise! I can see the dedication that Chen Lao Shi has put in engaging her students in the language by playing games with them and teaching them simple songs for them to remember. I don't know how she does it but it's truly a miracle that my little potato is able to have such a good command of the language. Not only does Chen Lao Shi focus on her language abilities, she also encourages Ava to open up and present herself better to prepare her for P1 life.
