I am passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a nurturing environment for our children. With a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Teaching and Leadership) and 8 years of experience at My First Skool, I have progressed from a teacher to a leader focused on providing the best for our young learners. I believe that every child has unique potential and deserves a safe, caring, and stimulating environment to thrive. Our approach emphasizes hands-on exploration and learning through play, allowing children to discover and grow in meaningful ways. As O. Fred Donaldson said, “Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play, children learn how to learn.” At My First Skool @ Blk 248 Kim Keat Link, a SPARK-certified centre with Inclusive Support Programme (InSP), my team and I work diligently to build strong partnerships with parents and the community. We strive to create a supportive atmosphere where children feel safe to ask questions and learn from their experiences. This promotes an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. We are proud to be a part of the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) initiative and were honoured to clinch the 10-Year SSDB Award in 2024, a testament to our long-standing commitment to nurturing children’s character and values through meaningful projects. Our partnerships with organisations like the National Gallery Singapore, primary school, the National Library Board, and NParks provide children with diverse and enriching learning experiences. Our Intergenerational Programme connects children with seniors, fostering empathy and understanding.
