My 5yo has been attending MFS@509B since she was 18 months old during the (crazy) Covid years. Would say the teachers from PG to K1 are mostly very caring, patient, passionate and communicative.

My daughter looks forward to seeing them, especially her current form teacher (was also her PG teacher) and MT teacher. I think you can tell how well-run an institution is when most of the teachers have been there for a long time, and still maintain their passion and enthusiasm despite the long hours and admin work all teachers have to do. The principals, teachers and teaching assistants clearly work very hard, evident from the good relationship the kids have with them.

When it comes to the 'hard' stuff that matter to us Singaporean parents - toilet training, learning ABCs, learning maths, MT and so on - I would say they are good in fostering and instilling these skills in the kids as well. I say this as a parent who has limited time to teach my kid, and yet, my daughter is able to read, write, sing, recite Chinese proverbs and so on - all learnt from school and without external enrichment classes. Parents Days, field trips etc are also organised well, even though it's resource intensive.

Most importantly, emotionally, my child is able to better regulate her emotions (which you can tell is due to the convos/intervention the teachers do in school) - she can even tell us to "count to 10" and "cool down" when we argue at home. 😂

I can only wish for better hours/off-in-lieus and higher remuneration for them. They are really doing the important work that we really need.

My daughter has been attending this school and i really have to say all e teachers n admission are all so helpful n polite n really helped me so much due to my situations. E school will call up n check on my daughter too if she is on mc for her wellbeing n etc.

My child has been attending My First Skool at Blk 509B Yishun, and I’m very happy with the experience so far. The teachers are friendly, caring, and professional. They create a warm and welcoming environment that helps my son feel comfortable and excited to learn every day.
The school offers a variety of activities and celebrates different festivals throughout the year, which helps the children learn about different cultures in a fun and engaging way. I also appreciate the outdoor field area—it gives my son the chance to explore and learn beyond the classroom.
Overall, I’m pleased with the school’s dedication to my child’s growth and development. Highly recommend!

My child has been enrolled here since 2020, from infantcare to kindergarten. The support received from teachers and principal are amazing. I feel very fortunate for my child(ren) to be enrolled here and for the teachers working at this centre.

Hopefully the staff are being appreciated both by parents and higher management.

A better enviroment for development of the children.Thanks to the good faculty,staff & teachers here who genuinely do catr about the students/child and do bot take it merely as a job.Excelleby communication among the teachers,students & parents.

My son is well cared for while at school. The principal and teachers are very supportive, especially regarding his eczema condition, and they do everything they can to assist from their side.

Both kids have fun in MFS at Yishun branch. All the teachers are friendly!
