I currently lead My First Skool at Blk 443A Fajar Road as Principal. With 20 years of dedicated leadership experience, a significant milestone in my career was presenting at the ECDA Conference in 2025 on the “Centre-led Support Model for Language & Literacy”. This opportunity further refined my leadership skills as I shared best practises with fellow educators to enhance children’s holistic learning and development across the sector.

I strongly believe that children do best when they are nurtured within a community of love. Both the home and the centre play an extremely important role in developing a child holistically. When wrapped in love and care, children naturally become active, curious learners who thrive within secure, respectful, and reciprocal relationships.

Today, my team and I continue to work hand in hand with families through meaningful parental engagement programmes, such as educational workshops and termly events, to cultivate excellence in partnership and effective communication. Furthermore, we have established strong community partnerships with organisations such as the Bo Tien Elderly Day Care Centre and the National Library Board to enrich our children’s learning dispositions and give them a good start in life.

As Helen Keller once beautifully remarked: “Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.” Let us continue to work together to build a brighter and more loving future for our children.
