Hear From Our Parents

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the principal, Ms Christina Han and her team for going the extra mile to send my younger daughter to the new school every morning. Without your help, i won't be able to reach work on time. Thank you for everything.

My elder son has grown to be a confident boy who learnt to manage relationships relatively well. I wish to thank the teachers who have helped him achieve this - Ms Zhao, Tiffany and Ms Chen. On many occasions, I have observed Ms Chen showing much fondness for my elder son and i am grateful to her for her kindness towards him. Teacher Tiffany has played a big part in identifying his strengths and giving him many opportunities to take up leadership roles. I am grateful to her for selecting my son as one of the narrators in the K2 concert, as language is one of his key strengths. When my son was in K1, I remembered Ms Zhao lent him a Chinese book on dinosaurs, knowing that it is his favorite topic.

As for my younger child, i was pleasantly surprised by the kind gesture of his teachers - Ms Hana, Ms Wong and Ms Liping. They had prepared a box of dinosaur puzzles as his farewell gift today. . My Younger son enjoys Chinese lessons and he is able to recite stories and poems in Chinese. This is a great achievement considering that he was not able to speak a word of Mandarin when he first joined the school. I am truly grateful to Ms Liping for instilling his interest in Chinese language. He felt so proud when Ms Wong gave him the smiley face badge to motivate him for behaving well. Ms Hana's kindness has made her his favorite teacher.

I am also grateful to the principal - Ms Rachel, when i came forward to share about my elder son's concerns. I appreciate that she took the matter seriously and deployed the teachers to investigate the m. That put me at ease with the school, knowing that the school, under her leadership takes children's safety and parent's concern as a priority.

I would also like to express my appreciation to other teachers - Ms Jiamin, Ms Atiqah, Ms Mani and the aunty, i am sure the boys will remember them fondly.

My wife and I accompanied our son, Sydney, to his first day at My First Skool Yishun II centre yesterday.

We would like to say a big thank you to the Principal, Ms Zethy Dzarifah Binte Mohd Raz for her professional, patient and down-to-earth detailed advice that she imparted to both of us. We were impressed with the centre’s ambience; the large windows make the centre bright and airy (aided by ceiling fans - superb!). The centre was impeccably clean and spotless. Books and toys were well-kept and organised. Hygiene and sanitation standards were also impressive. The curriculum, games and activities, such as the storytelling session, were creative and enriching too.

We are delighted with your invaluable and experienced teachers namely Ms. Noor Aini, Yan Cheng, Shereen and support staff like the awesome centre ‘aunties'. We also sensed that all your staff are calm, alert and keyed-in to the children. Facilities were excellent.

Nevertheless, it is no easy task to handle and develop little toddlers. The staff team at the centre is what we consider the real building architects of a nation. Thank you for your dedication, sacrifice and commitment in these 'little' but difficult tasks! Do keep it up.

We especially appreciate the active use of Mandarin and English in the centre. We also observed that discipline was enforced when appropriate and children’s behaviour was well-managed. All in all, we look forward to seeing our son grow and develop positively at this new and fun Centre.

I am happy to leave my child, Zining, in the hands of My First Skool’s caring teachers and staff. He has adapted well to the daily routines and has become more independent as a person. His eagerness to go to school is a joy for me to see.
