Infant Care

My First Skool Infant Care Programme
The infant care programme at My First Skool is based on the belief that the period from birth to three years is a critical time of tremendous growth across all areas of development for children.
The NTUC First Campus Birth to Three Framework
The infant care programme at My First Skool is adapted from the NTUC First Campus initiative, “Learning for Life: The Birth to Three Framework”. It is carefully structured around three central elements: relationships, experiences and routines. Using the view that children are capable of forming positive and responsive relationships, these elements interact with each other to provide for each young child’s individual needs, together with the participation of their families and the communities. The Framework especially advocates a close partnership between parents and educators, given that children thrive on a sense of secured and supportive continuity.
Our infant care teachers undergo specific training to equip them with the necessary skills to effectively carry out the programme.
At our infant care centres, your child will learn:
- To develop a sense of being a separate and independent self.
- To build relationships with caregivers and other children.
- To master movements with the body.
- To explore the environment using one’s whole body and senses.
- To solve problems.
- To communicate and understand language.
- To master movements with the body.
- To develop an understanding of space, time, quantities and early numbers.
- To instill a positive attitude towards learning.
