People Developer Standard
2003

My First Skool achieved the People Developer Standard (PDS) from SPRING Singapore in the first quarter of certification for the year 2003.
The PDS is a quality standard that gives recognition to organisations which invest in their human resource and have a comprehensive system for developing their staff. It offers a systematic process for reviewing human resources practices, adopting a structured approach to staff development, improving the overall effectiveness of training, thereby leading to better business results.
This achievement underlines the importance that My First Skool has always placed on staff training and development. In a big organisation like ours, we believe that staff are our strength, and in order to continuously progress, we must ensure that the staff are equipped with the necessary skills. This will, in turn, lead to enhanced performance by our staff at the centres, where we strive to provide the best care and education to young children.
Work-Life Achiever Award
2010

On 28 July 2006, My First Skool was conferred the Work-Life Achiever Award. This award pays tribute to organisations that are committed to helping employees harmonise work and personal needs through work-life strategies, and in so doing, maximises employee productivity at work and helps make organisations more competitive.
One key feature of My First Skool's approach to work-life balance is to be staff-centric, where specific adjustments are made to the needs of the circumstances of the staff. There is no ‘one size fits all' formula in helping staff strike the right work-life balance. My First Skool's work-life programmes cover flexible work arrangements, special leave benefits and employee support schemes.
The Work-Life Achiever Award is conferred biennially by the Tripartite Committee on Work-Life Strategy.
